Social prescribing: Intro webinar
02:00 PM – 03:30 PM
Right now, as part of its plans for ‘personalised care’ NHS England is funding a nationwide ‘social prescribing’ initiative. It’s a big investment, with great potential. But it’s vital that this model works for young people. We think Youth Access members could play an important role in making sure it meets their needs.  This introductory webinar will bring together Youth Access members to share knowledge of social prescribing across our network. This is a space for all members – no matter your understanding or experience of social prescribing - to discuss how we can seize the opportunities presented by the NHS funding, and share learning across the network.  This meeting will cover: An introduction to the social prescribing agenda in NHS Long Term Plan, how it's being funded and where to find out more An introduction to some social prescribing models, with a presentation from some Youth Access members who already employ a young person-centred link worker A chance to discuss opportunities, concerns, and ways we can support one another We're hoping this will be the first step in forming a valuable community to share learning on social prescribing models for young people. We'll use this initial meeting to help decide which next steps to take, which subjects any future webinars or meet-ups should cover, and to support the creation of more focused, subject- or location-based groups to work together moving forward. If you can't attend this session but would appreciate an additional session on another date, select the ticket option "I can't attend this time" and we'll do our best to make sure you get the information you need.

Member Zoom: NHS Mental Health Implementation Plan
12:00 PM – 01:30 PM
This will be the first in a series of member meetings relating to the Long Term Plan. This session will focus on opportunities for YIACS to influence local planning and engagement with systems partners. During the consultation on the NHS Long Term Plan and for years beforehand, Youth Access and our members consistently championed the needs of young adults, who have for too long faced the biggest treatment gap and poor experiences of transitioning from children’s to adults’ services. Now, our efforts are paying off - not only in making sure the needs of young people front and centre in plans for improving the mental health system, but also in carving out a significant opportunity for Youth Access members to play an even more important role in improving young people’s access to mental health support. We need to act now to ensure that this opportunity is met and that our network can influence the next stages of the Long Term Plan.

Member meeting: Flowing data to the NHS
12:00 PM – 01:30 PM
All services that receive funding from the NHS are required to flow data into the Mental Health Services Data Set (MHSDS). Preparing for this can feel daunting and poses a particular challenge to voluntary sector providers. This is an opportunity for members at any stage of the journey to discuss challenges and opportunities. Youth Access will also update you on our conversations with the NHS England team.  This event will be held online and is for full members only.
